Teeming with wildlife and classic coastal scenery, Moss Landing State Beach is a very family friendly park.
Please write to California representatives to ask them to support the parks. If you don't live in California, your letters still are important, particularly if parks influence your interest in visiting the state. Remember that this is an economic issue, so it will help if you write about the money you spend at local businesses while you are visiting the parks. Sea Otter Frenzy
A group of sea otters is called a "raft". That's something you need to know when you visit Moss Landing State Beach. It's one of the best places in the world for free sea otter viewing.
Abundant Wildlife
The sea otters may be the headliners, but Moss Landing State Beach attracts a wide variety of wildlife. Cormorants and harbor seals are very common here.
Beach and Dunes
The wildlife in the estuary can be very distracting, but a short climb over the dunes reveals a romantic beach.
